Helen spent most of her childhood in England, but has been living in France for the last twenty years. After a five year science degree in one of France’s “Grandes Ecoles”, she continued for a further three years of biomedical research obtaining a Ph.D. degree for her thesis: “Bioavailability of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) in the extracellular matrix.” She followed this by a postdoctoral fellowship in medical genetics. Her research work has been published in several international journals.
